Any regular visitors to our setting I will asked to complete a CR2 form to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Check. Or if they already have one, I will ask to check it.
I will not leave a minded child in a room alone with a visitor, unless we know they have been DBS cleared, for example another Ofsted Registered Childminder.
I will not allow any visitors to take our minded children to the toilet or change their nappies.
I will request identification from all visitors not known to us and will refuse entry if I am are unsure of them.
I will ask visitors (and parents) not to use their mobile phones near minded children.
I will endeavour, when possible, to arrange for any maintenance work to our property to be carried out at weekends or during non-minding hours or when another person is around to deal with them so they do not have any contact with the children.
I maintain a visitor’s book which is available to look at any time.
